Silver leaf workshop
Do you love nature and love silver jewellery? You can combine both in this workshop, and leave with a perfect replica of a real leaf in solid silver that you can wear
During this easy workshop you will create a beautiful solid silver leaf from Art Clay Silver paste, which you can then put on a sterling silver chain to take away and wear.
All materials, including the chain are provided on the day, and as we will fire it during the process, you will go home with a beautiful piece of solid silver jewellery hand made by you.
Choose a leaf from the selection I provide from a variety of nearby plants, including our local national trust farm, my back garden, and the area around my workshop; or you can bring one from your garden* or somewhere that has meaning for you.
You need to make sure the leaves have lots of veins and detail on the back, if the leaf is smooth, it won’t make a good piece. Suitable leaves include Oak, Beech, Blackberry, Sage, Strawberry and Nettle. Unsuitable leaves include Ivy, Holly and and waxy leaves. If you are not sure, you can always bring a few along and I’ll tell you which will work well.
The leaf is made using silver clay paste, you do not need any previous experience in any form of craft, I will guide you through the process from beginning to end.
The workshop includes all materials necessary to create one necklace from beginning to end
Refreshments and cake will also be served during the workshop.
*Please note, some leaves may not be suitable
If you choose the Gift voucher option, I will contact you and then send you a personalised gift voucher in a gift wallet.
