Dichroic glass in silver clay

10 am to 4pm each day – 2 day class

During this exciting new 2-day course you will learn how to make your own dichroic glass cabochon, then will choose a pre-made glass cab to set into a ring or pendant.

The ring or pendant will use the silver clay to set the stone into the piece, adding some accents and small details to make a beautiful piece to your own design.

Due to the nature of the glass firing process, the pieces will need to be in the kiln overnight to cool down slowly, so they will be ready on the next day, when you will be able to set the cabochon you made on day one into a second pendant or ring using the traditional bezel setting technique.

All materials will be provided including 20g clay, silver bezel wire and glass to make the cabochon

I will assist with the design, but you will have free range to design your own piece.

This course will be more suitable for people with previous experience of silver clay making, eg the introduction to silver clay course, the beginner’s 2 day course or the 1 day stone setting in silver clay course
